Last year, Lyca Productions announced that directors Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam will be reuniting for a project they collaborated on 36 years ago. Reports surfaced that Nayanthara was in talks to star as the female lead and was later joined by speculation surrounding Trisha’s role in the movie.

Reliable sources have now indicated that two actresses, previously considered for the role in ‘KH234’, will no longer participate in the upcoming movie project. Reports suggest that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is now being considered to play the leading character.

Given that Nayantara and Trisha appear younger than Kamal Hassan in the movie, there may be an opportunity for experienced actor Vidya Balan to join him. Having worked with stars from South India such as Ajit Kumar and Balakrishna, she is a perfect fit for the pair. We await official confirmation on the matter from filmmakers Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, who have enlisted Isai Puyal AR Rahman to provide music as well.
