Akhil Akkineni’s film Agent was released on Friday to a lukewarm response at the box office. It seems that the movie has not resonated with audiences, and it has been the target of significant criticism from some quarters.
At the end of the banging-interval in Akhil’s movie, there is a ten-minute sequence featuring fire, bullets and fighting with a group of around one hundred people armed with heavy weaponry. Despite this, the scene reveals Akhil unscathed and looks like he just came out of a steam shower bath. Some movie-lovers critiqued that such an outcome did not appear realistic or logical – how could he emerge from such a large fight without any scratch on his body? They are now calling it as a ‘steam bath’ look and trolling Akhil big time.
As OTT technology has become an integral part of life, people are living and breathing OTT, with many now wearing it on their sleeves. Audiences have high expectations and will quickly spot any inconsistencies or missteps in a production. It is possible that mistakes can be made while creating large-scale projects, but not all logic should be overlooked.
