Here & There! Star Heroines Walking Out!

Actors often make the most of lucrative opportunities that come their way. However, there are instances when they are compelled to leave ongoing projects for various reasons. Let’s now explore the recent occurrences of leading actresses stepping away from their films due to different circumstances.

Pooja Hegde was initially cast as the female lead in the upcoming movie Guntur Kaaram alongside Superstar Mahesh Babu. She participated in several shooting schedules but eventually withdrew from the project due to personal issues. Sree Leela, who was previously the second heroine, has now taken over as the main female lead, while Meenakshi Chaudhary has joined as the second female lead. Pooja’s departure inadvertently turned out to be a fortunate turn of events for the emerging talents, Sree Leela and Meenakshi.

Another popular actress, Rashmika Mandanna, had to leave a recent project. Earlier this year, a film featuring Nithiin, Rashmika, and director Venky Kudumula was announced. This collaboration would have marked their second project together following the 2020 blockbuster, Bheeshma. Unfortunately, Rashmika’s busy schedule prevented her from allocating dates to this film, leading her to withdraw. There are reports suggesting that Sree Leela may step in to replace Rashmika as the female lead in this untitled venture.

Similar situations arise in Bollywood as well. Last year, Farhan Akhtar announced his directorial film Jee Le Zara with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt.

However, due to her Hollywood commitments, Priyanka requested Farhan to commence shooting in 2024. Farhan apparently agreed to this arrangement. Unfortunately, Katrina couldn’t accommodate the required dates and had to withdraw from the project.

Meanwhile, it is rumoured that Priyanka became occupied with the filming of Citadel 2 and subsequently opted out as well. Presently, Farhan is considering Anushka Sharma and Kiara Advani as potential replacements, with an official announcement expected soon.
