Nag’s Iconic Hit To Revisit Theatres On His Birthday

The trend of re-releases in Tollywood has caught the attention of moviegoers big time. Every month, we get to see a flurry of re-releases of cult classics and blockbuster hits of different Telugu heroes. As audiences are embracing these films with a lot of hoopla, there seems to be no end to this trend in the near future.

Now, it is time for Akkineni fans to be a part of this newfound celebration. On the eve of Akkineni Nagarjuna’s birthday this 29th, his iconic hit Manmadhudu is going to hit the screens again. An official announcement about this news was made just a while ago and it has brought much delight to his fans.

Manmadhudu is a romantic entertainer that has Nag portraying two contrasting shades. His immaculate comedy timing in one role and heart-wrenching performance in emotional scenes in the other role received rave reviews at that time and the film continues to mesmerize moviegoers even till today. Sonali Bendre played the leading lady and Anshu appeared in a brief role.

Directed by Vijay Bhaskar, the film has dialogues penned by Trivikram Srinivas. Devi Sri Prasad’s superlative music album was another biggest asset for the film. Brahmanandam’s comedy scenes in the second half tickled the funny bones of moviegoers to a great extent.
