The trailer of upcoming Tamil film “Mark Antony” has generated significant buzz in film circles. What caught everyone’s attention is the inclusion of the iconic late actress Silk Smitha in the storyline.
Post the release of the trailer, many thought that the makers took the help of AI to recreate Silk Smitha character in the film but in fact, it is not true. In the film, Silk Smitha is portrayed by Vishnu Priya Gandhi, a talented young actress who also goes by the nickname “Junior Silk” due to her striking resemblance to the 80s South Indian siren.
Vishnu Priya Gandhi gained fame as an Instagram model and she confirmed on her Insta Story that she would be essaying the role of Silk Smitha on the big screen.
The film stars Vishal and SJ Suryah in leading roles and is directed by Adhik Ravichandran, with a supporting cast that includes Suneel, Selvaraghavan, Ritu, Abhinaya, and others.
