She earned a substantial income but, due to fears of income tax scrutiny, hid her earnings in her house. Unfortunately, her sister took possession of all the money, and Shakeela found herself with nothing. She faced further challenges in her career, such as censorship issues that delayed the release of one of her films for four years. It was during this time that she received an opportunity from Teja to act in the film ‘Jayam,’ which altered her career trajectory.

In her pursuit of redemption and a fresh start, Shakeela entered ‘Bigg Boss’ with the goal of shedding her old image and revealing a different side of her personality to the public. She aspires to be known as ‘Shaki Amma’ and hopes that people will remember her for more than just the name Shakeela.
