One of the recent films that worked out wondrously despite above-average to average reviews is none other than “Bedurulanka 2012”. While the film did well due to its comedy factor, surely it is not a bombastic hit the makers expected. However, hero Karthikeya is said to have got fixated on this comedy idea now.
Apparently, Karthikeya has okayed 2-3 films in recent times which are in the action genre. But with the success of Bedurulanka, the hero started to feel that comedy is what is being liked by the audience and he wants to do only films that are full of humour from now. Cancelling the three projects he agreed to do, he is now looking forward to comedy scripts, while he has one finished movie in hand which is bankrolled by UV Creations.
On the other hand, there is no guarantee that a comedy film will work again for Karthikeya based on the fact that Bedurulanka 2012 worked out. However, if the screenplay is exciting and the narration is interesting, surely any film would work whether that is comedy, horror, action or any melodrama.
