Drugs Case: Josh Director Vasu Varma Arrested?

The sensational ‘Madhapur Drugs Case’ is taking new turns each day as it has come out very late that popular Telugu director Mantena Vasu Varma who directed Naga Chaitanya’s debut film “Josh” also got arrested. That appears like a shocker because of Varma’s closeness with the Dil Raju camp, and here are some interesting details that contradict this claim.

Back in June this year, a film writer named M Prithvikrishna who goes by the name Diwakar in Tollywood along with event manager Rahul Ashok Telore was arrested and 70 gms of cocaine was seized from them.

On September 5th, however, film director M Vasu Varma was arrested and sent to judicial remand in the same case. But then, some sources claimed that it was not Josh’s director Vasu Varma who was arrested but the director of the film “Basti”, which marked the debut of Jayasudha’s son Shreyan Kapoor as a hero. He also goes by the name Mantena Vasu Varma only alias Vasu Mantena. For now, police haven’t given clarity over which Vasu Varma got arrested.

On the other hand, recently Navdeep was questioned in this Drugs Case and the actor feigned ignorance over links to drug peddlers and consumption as well.

He maintained that there was no way he was involved with any peddlers or consumption and stated that he gave all the clarity to the TS Narcotics Bureau that questioned him. Anyway, we have to see which Vasu Varma is the one who got arrested in this high-profile case.
