In a big setback to Thalapathy Vijay’s LEO, the IMAX premiere shows are heard to be cancelled.
The IMAX Format Premiere shows are said to be canceled as the IMAX copies are not ready yet and won’t be on time for October 18th premieres. LEO is released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, and the IMAX Format shows are only in Tamil.
LEO was planned to be released in more than 1,000 locations in the US. It already registered 900K+ premieres pre-sales in the US with more than 41,000 tickets sold as of October 13th. For now, LEO IMAX tickets are put on hold or hidden in many areas across the US.
It has to be seen how these IMAX premieres affect the collections. LEO is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha appear as the lead pair, and Arjun Sarja and Sanjay Dutt will be seen as antagonists.
