Movie Cost Is Not Increasing Due To Heroes’ Remuneration – Allu Aravind

Star heroes’ remuneration is one of the most discussed topics for a long time. With the increase in the cost of movie making today, there is a perspective that a major chunk of it goes to the star hero as remuneration. One of the big producers in Telugu cinema, Allu Aravind rubbishes that today at an event.

When asked why big banners like Geetha Arts are staying away or being cautious about making big-budget films, Allu Aravind went for a one-word answer ‘Cost’. But when asked about the heroes’ remuneration increasing the cost of any movie and with a good number of star heroes in his own family, Allu Aravind contradicts it.

Allu Aravind says that only 20 to 25 percent of the movie’s cost goes to the star heroes and he opines that their remuneration is not increasing the cost, but they are acting in the movies made with a big budget. He also says that the audience is not accepting movies that are not made big and grand regardless of who the hero is.

Giving the example of KGF, Allu Aravind says the hero is not a star before KGF but the movie was made big and went on to become a blockbuster. Allu Aravind also revealed that two big movies should be coming from Geetha Arts but are being delayed for other reasons.
