Dil Raju today said that he observes a striking similarity in the ascending box office figures of ‘Mangalavaaram’ to those of ‘Balagam,’ ‘Baby,’ and ‘Samajavaragamana’. The film was released in theatres on November 17.
“Although ‘Mangalavaaram’ started out on a modest scale, its strength is increasing with every screening,” remarked Raju, who serves as the Nizam distributor for the film. Speaking at the film’s success meet, Raju further appreciated director Ajay Bhupathi’s conviction to make films with non-star faces. “As I watched the movie, two films came to my mind. Vamsy’s ‘Anveshana’ is one of them. While watching the stunning first 20 minutes of the second half, I was reminded of ‘Arundhati’. If the audience are talking about this film, it is mainly because of the climax. The twists are clicking with the audience,” he added.
Dil Raju drove the importance of ‘word of mouth’ publicity. “With positive talk continuing to spread, this film’s commercial stature will only go up in the coming days,” he added with confidence.
The film’s music by Ajaneesh B Loknath has been found to be absorbing, the director said. “I am happy that everyone is calling this a technicians’ piece of cinema,” he added.
Producer Swathi Reddy Gunupati highlighted the film’s theme without revealing the plot. She claimed that the female audience, especially, are liking the movie.
Payal Rajput said that she has become a big fan of cinematographer Dasaradhi Sivendra’s craft after the movie. She also lauded her director.
