Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan has faced several repercussions for his controversial comments about acting in rape scenes and expressing disappointment about the absence of such a scene with Trisha in the movie “Leo.”
Trisha and several other celebrities, including Chiranjeevi, Khushboo, and Chinmai, criticized Mansoor’s comments.
In response, Mansoor Ali Khan filed a defamation suit against Chiranjeevi and Khushboo for supporting Trisha and opposing him. Feeling wronged in the matter, Mansoor sought compensation of one hundred crore rupees, claiming innocence.
The Madras High Court conducted an inquiry and dismissed Mansoor’s petition, stating that the comments made by the other three actors were not defamatory. The court considered Mansoor’s actions a publicity stunt and ordered him to pay one lakh rupees to the Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai for wasting their time.
Many netizens also described Mansoor Ali Khan’s actions as a publicity stunt. He demanded 100 cr rupees but he was asked to pay a fine of 1 lakh rupees.
