Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most successful filmmakers in Tamil cinema. He started the cinematic universe trend and is going super strong with it. As everyone is excited to witness his next film Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Lokesh updated on his pipeline plans.
Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that Coolie is a standalone film and does not have any connection with LCU (Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe). However, he confirmed that his next film will be Kaithi 2.
Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed Kaithi 2 as his next film, followed by the standalone Rolex, and then Vikram 2 to complete the LCU. He hinted at working on standalone films between these projects, similar to Coolie.
The director added, “The entire Tamilnadu is shocked to learn about Vijay sir’s retirement. Had he not announced it, I would have made Leo 2 as well.”
Kaithi 2 will be Lokesh’s immediate film, and Karthi will play the lead role Dilli in it.
