Icon star Allu Arjun approached the Telangana High Court, seeking the dismissal of a case failed against him. It is the case, in connection with the stampede that took place at the Sandhya theatre in RTC X Roads on the night of 4th December, 2024 during the premiere of Pushpa 2.
The petition requests the court to quash the case registered at the local police station. On the day of the incident, a stampede took place at Sandhya theatre, which further resulted in the tragic death of a woman named Revathi. The stampede also resulted in severe injuries to Revathi’s son.
The police officials at Chikkadapally station registered a case against Allu Arjun under sections BNS 105 and 118 of the law. The stampede majorly occurred after Allu Arjun visited the theatre. However, the adequate security was not provided.
The court is yet to deliver the verdict.
