Veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu is caught in a heated legal turmoil after having assaulted a media journalist at his residence a couple of weeks back. The matter has reached the Telangana High Court now as Mohan Babu sought anticipatory bail.
The bail petition came to hearing today and the verdict doesn’t make for a good viewing for Mohan Babu.
The Telangana High Court reportedly has rejected the anticipatory bail petition filed by Mohan Babu’s lawyers. The High Court bench did not side with the argument made by Mohan Babu’s counsel about his current medical condition.
Mohan Babu’s lawyers appealed the court to grant anticipatory bail as he is struggling with a heart condition. “Mohan Babu returned from Dubai recently and he is resting in Tirupati. He has an underlying heart condition that needs frequent treatment. The court is thus requested to provide him with anticipatory bail on medical grounds.” The counsel argued.
However, the court rejected the plea a short while ago, meaning Mohan Babu will have to face the legal consequences.
This verdict comes right after Hyderabad police stated recently that they are indeed keeping an active watch on Mohan Babu’s case and adequate action will be taken shortly.
Notably Mohan Babu had already met with the family members of the victim and apologised for what had happened. However, the legal repercussions are now coming to haunt the veteran as the concerned media outlet is firm on taking action against him
