The current trend of two-part movies and franchise films has become mostly successful. Following the same trend, the directors of two films in the recent past are coming up with their respective sequels.
Prashanth Varma who scored a blockbuster with HanuMan also directed Zombie Reddy earlier. The movie was not a great success, however, the director is all set to bring a sequel to the film. Zombie Reddy is the first zombie action comedy based on the Covid-19 pandemic. Prashant Varma reportedly readied the script for Zombie Reddy 2 and it has to be seen what the new one is based on. The cast is not known yet.
Being the movie after HanuMan, the Zombie Reddy sequel is expected to get a spotlight.
Another interesting sequel coming up is Mangalavaram 2. Ajay Bhupathi directed Mangalavaram, a thriller with horror elements that went on to become a super hit. The director is ready with the scripting work of the sequel and is about to start the shoot soon. While Payal Rajput played the lead role in the first part, a notable top actress is expected to be seen as the lead heroine in the sequel.
Well, let us see if the sequels will be better and beyond the respective first parts.
