All Time Re Release Record, But Not Telugu Film

The Telugu audience have mad love for cinema and this was proven N number of times already. Not just main releases but even re releases are generally a huge deal here in the Telugu states. This got proven overwhelmingly popularly again now with the re release of Interstellar.

Interstellar is a Hollywood masterpiece directed by legendary Christopher Nolan and is arguably one of the greatest space exploration films ever to be made. This film was re released in India on the occasion of completing a decade of main release.

The re release bookings were pretty positive right from the word go and particularly so in Hyderabad where the trends were exceptionally positive. Coming to the famous Prasads Multiplex which is a hub for cinema lovers for many years, the bookings for Interstellar set a new all time record.

these are the statistics reported at the Prasads Multiplex by Interstellar. These are the biggest numbers ever reported for any re release film till date.

Reportedly, the leading cinema chain screened 50 shows of the film over the last weekend and they ran with 99.9% occupancy. These are beyond ordinary numbers.

One would expect a Telugu cult classic to hold the record for highest numbers at our cinema hub of Prasad’s but Interstellar had other ideas. This perhaps exhibits the tenacity and diversity of the Telugu folk and their undeniable love for good cinema.
