Badminton star Gutta Jwala recently opened up about her brief stint in films. Sharing her experience of being a part of the film industry, she regretted doing the item song in Nithiin’s Gunde Jaari Gallanthaindhe.Jwala explained that her close friendship with actor Nithin led her to the project.
“Nithin is a very good friend of mine. One day, I attended a party where he asked me to do an item song for fun. I agreed, thinking it was just a casual chat. But after three months, he called and said everything was set for the shoot. I was shocked! Since backing out would have caused him a loss, I had no choice but to go ahead,” she recalled.
Though the song boosted the film’s publicity, Jwala felt it affected her reputation. She realized that acting required immense dedication and self-discipline, which she lacked. Also, she felt bad to feature in uncomfortable costumes throughout the song.
However, she found a closure to it upon learning that Nithiin could be able to end his failure streak, with the success of the movie.
