Big Surprise: Hrithik Roshan To Turn Director With Krrish 4

This news is sure to leave all the fans of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. The macho hunk is all set to make his directorial debut with the most eagerly awaited superhero movie, Krrish 4. The project was officially announced earlier today. It remains to be seen if Hrithik will continue to play the superhero role himself or sign a new actor under his direction.

Hrithik started out his career in showbiz by working as an assistant director on his father Rakesh Roshan’s Khudgarzi and Karan Arjun. Rakesh Roshan had previously helmed Hrithik’s superhero franchise movies, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3. Krrish 4 will be jointly produced by Rakesh Roshan and top Bollywood filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.

Making the announcement, Rakesh Roshan took to Instagram and posted a picture with Hrithik. “Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings,” the proud father posted. Hrithik’s girlfriend and actor Saba Azad dropped heart emojis under Rakesh’s post.

Koi Mil Gaya, the first installment in the Krrish superhero franchise, was released in 2003. Krrish, a spinoff of Hrithik’s character in Koi Mil Gaya, made it to theaters in 2006. Finally, the third part of the franchise, Krish 3, was released in 2013.
