It has been ten years since Akhil Akkineni made his debut as a lead hero, and so far, he has acted in five films. Apart from Most Eligible Bachelor, none of his films managed to do well at the box office. Even Most Eligible Bachelor was also a decent success and not a career-defining hit for Akhil.
Now, he is aiming to score a big hit with his upcoming film, tentatively titled “Akhil 6”. The first look of this film will be unveiled tomorrow on the occasion of Akhil’s birthday and today, the makers released a pre-look poster. Going by it, it looks like Akhil is going for a mass film once again, despite facing the biggest disasters like Akhil and Agent when he attempted the same genre.
The prelook poster comes up with the tagline, “No War is More Violent Than Love” and features two hands. The poster suggests that the film is going to be a romantic action drama. The poster also suggests that AKhil is going to sport a massy look in the film.
Earlier, whenever he attempted mass films, Akhil failed miserably. His last film, Agent was made on a huge budget but ended up as a colossal disaster. The same is the case with his first film, Akhil. He looked in his zone in the other three films, Hello, Mr Majnu and Most Eligible Bachelor.
It has to be seen if Akhil breaks this jinx and scores a ‘mass’ive hit with Akhil6. Directed by Kishore Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame, Akhil6 is set in the Rayalaseema backdrop. Sithara Entertainments, Annapurna Studios and Manam Entertainments are jointly producing the film.
