After the debacle of Game Changer, Ram Charan is aiming to make a strong comeback with his upcoming film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame. The first glimpse of this movie got a thunderous response from the audience. The Telugu teaser amassed more than 36 million views in less than 24 hours, proving the hype around the film.
Peddi’s teaser is getting a good response not only in Telugu but also in other languages. Interestingly, Ram Charan dubbed his own voice for Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada as well. We hear that he is planning to dub himself for the entire film in these languages. Dubbing his own voice would add more depth and make Charan more accessible to audiences of all languages.
AR Rahman’s inclusion as music director helped the glimpse gain good traction in Tamil. Peddi’s Tamil version has gotten more than 3.5 million views on YouTube, while the Kannada and Malayalam versions clocked cumulative views of more than 3.5 million. The Hindi teaser was released this morning and is already trending on social media.
Many YouTubers also posted reactions to the glimpse, further elevating the hype around the movie. Game Changer failed to bank on Charan’s pan-India popularity, but Peddi seems to be avoiding that mistake. Just like the teaser, if songs and other promotional material manage to attract folks of other languages, Peddi will open big at the box office. The film is slated for a worldwide release on March 27, 2026.
