Kondandarami Reddy’s Sons & Their Quriky Adult Comedy!

A Kondandarami Reddy is one of the veteran filmmakers in Telugu. He is currently enjoying his retirement phase. However, both his sons gained a good name in Tamil cinema. They are doing back to back movies. After debuting with Godava in Telugu, his younger son Vaibhav Reddy went on to meet success in Tamil. The director’s elder son Sunil Reddy is also a successful actor. Both acted in a film titled Perusu, which is getting a lot of attention now.

Perusu is a Tamil film, which was released in theatres on March 15 and is now streaming on Netflix. Perusu falls under a light-hearted adult comedy genre and it has an unusual premise.

Sunil Reddy plays Sami, a school teacher, while Vaibhav plays his younger brother Durai. Their peaceful life is shaken when their father suddenly dies. But what surprises everyone is that, even after his death, his body shows an erection. That forms the strange but central theme of the film.

Though the plot sounds bizarre or even a bit crude at first, the film avoids cheap humor. Instead, it focuses on how the brothers and their close circle go to great lengths to protect their father’s dignity. The comedy is light-hearted and works well.

The film is directed by Ilango Ram and is based on the 2023 Sri Lankan movie Tentigo. It was produced by Karthik Subbaraj. The film is available to stream in Telugu as well.
