Have A Look At The Most Expensive Upcoming Indian Films

SSMB 29:

Superstar Mahesh Babu and maverick director SS Rajamouli have teamed up for the most-anticipated project of Indian cinema, SSMB 29. Touted to be an action adventure set in a forest backdrop, this movie is reportedly being made with a budget of more than Rs. 1000 crores. After RRR’s global success, Rajamouli attained international stardom, and his next film should have those international standards at any cost. This movie is expected to hit the screens in 2027.

Ramayana:

The mythological epic Ramayana is being made as a two-part franchise in Bollywood. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash and Sunny Deol in lead roles, this movie is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame. It is heard that Ramayana is being made with a budget of more than Rs. 900 crores. While the first part will release during Diwali 2026, the second part will hit the screens during Diwali 2027.

Allu Arjun – Atlee Project:

Icon Star Allu Arjun joined hands with star director Atlee for a massive pan-India project. Reportedly, Sun Pictures is bankrolling this project with a budget of around Rs. 800 crores. While the production budget is said to be Rs. 200 crores, the makers are spending around Rs. 250 crores for VFX. It was heard that Allu Arjun will be paid a remuneration of Rs. 175 crores, along with a profit share. Additionally, Atlee is said to be taking a payment of Rs. 100 crores, along with a profit share. The shoot of this film is expected to begin in August this year.
