‘They Said I Had No Tits or Ass’: Actress Opens Up on Body Shaming

Ananya Panday is one of the heroines in Bollywood who faced a lot of criticism during the initial days of her career. Ananya comes from a family with a film background. Hence, she was trolled as a nepo kid, which is usually expected. However, Ananya Pandey also began to face body shame criticism. It was very brutal, such that she was told that she don’t have tits or an ass.

The body shaming was so much irking that people rumored that Ananya underwent buttock surgery. Ananya said, “I feel like you can never win. I was 18 or 19 when I started out, and I was really skinny. Everyone used to kind of make fun of that. They were like, ‘Oh, you have chicken legs. You look like a matchstick. You are like a flat-screen TV. You don’t have tits. You don’t have an ass.'”

As people grow with age, she also showed up signs of growth physically. But, the actress faced criticism again where people said that she got her butt done.

Ananya made her debut with the Hindi film Student No 1. She acknowledges the brutal gender discrimination in the film industry and said, “People will constantly have something to say and criticise, especially with women. I don’t feel like they do that to men at all.”

Ananya worked her way along to dodge the criticism and earn a name for herself as an actress. Until Kho Gaye Hum Kahan happened, she used to be trolled a lot on the internet. But, the film changed the perception of audiences towards her. She was last seen in Kesari Chapter 2 and was praised for her performance in the movie.
