Thug Life: Bold Statement Loading From Trisha?

Trisha Krishnan pulled out a big surprise with her presence from the trailer of Thug Life. Ever since the film’s announcement has come, the fans and audiences expected that Trisha would be paired up with Simbhu. However, director Mani Ratnam ensured the shock factor is intact by pairing her with Kamal Haasan. Interestingly, this is an indication as to how Trisha is trying to standout from her contemporaries.

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan revived Trisha’s career who was down with back to back flops until that time. However, it was 96 that brought her back in the game. Post Ponniyin Selvan, Trisha was seen in the movies The Road, Leo, GOAT, Identity, Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly. None of these movies worked at the box office.

Trisha understood the fact that her contemporaries like Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannah Bhatia and others are also struggling to aim big with interesting characters. Most of them are working towards working in female centric movies. Even Trisha tested her luck in the same but it is not possible to gain the attention constantly with every film if they continue to do female oriented projects. So, she devised a strategy of her own to make it big in the cinema world.

With Thug Life, she is going to make a bold statement that she is game for unconventional and surprising roles than just being a commercial heroine. Before the release of the trailer, everyone thought that she will be playing a routine character but there seems to be a twist surrounding her character.

Already, director Maniratnam clarified that Trisha’s role is completely different from what she played in the past. Even in recent song Sugar Baby, we can see e quite exposure from Trisha.
