Simran is currently enjoying the success of her latest film Tourist Family. But recently, she made headlines for strongly reacting to a comment made by a fellow actress who indirectly mocked her for playing mother roles. Her response went viral, and many believed she was talking about actress Jyothika and the web series Dabba Cartel.
In a recent interview, Simran shared more details. When asked if her comments were about Dabba Cartel, she confirmed it and said she had watched the series and thought it was good.
Simran said, “Dabba Cartel is a nice web series. People are just overthinking and guessing too much. The person I was talking about understood it clearly and even messaged me to say sorry. She said she didn’t mean to hurt me.”
Simran added that while the other actress had a valid opinion, the words she used were not nice. She also said people tend to assume too much, but she simply spoke from the heart.
Earlier, Simran had revealed this happened when she messaged a fellow actress to praise her performance. That actress replied saying, “At least it’s better than doing aunty roles.” Simran felt that was an insensitive remark. She responded, “It’s okay to do aunty or mother roles. That’s better than doing meaningless or ‘dabba’ roles.”
On the work front, Simran has been getting a lot of praise for Tourist Family.
