After Adipurush, It’s HHVM: Pawan’s Film Boasts Massive VFX

As we have already informed you about the vfx update from Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s most-awaited film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, here is one more fascinating aspect of the film.

Now that the film is under post-production stage and the VFX team is giving the final touches to the film, Powerstar fans are hopeful that the film is going to turn out a cinematic marvel in Tollywood.

Director Jyothi Krisna has been overseeing the CG work that is being carried out by various studios outside India. It is learnt that the film earned a distinction of having second highest VFX shots (6,000 VFX shots) for any Indian film after Prabhas’ Adipurush (8,000 shots).

Before actually the shooting commenced, Jyothi Krisna and team had shot the entire film in animation in previsualisation. As a result, the makers were able to wrap the shooting in just 10 months.

Not compromising on quality, Hari Hara Veera Mallu will have visual graphics for about two hours. Total of 6000 shots, each graphics part has 10 layers.

Director Jyothi Krisna’s father-producer AM Rathnam has a rare distinction of introducing VFX in Kamal Haasan starrer Bharateeyudu way back in 1995 when there were no graphics studios in India.

The director recalled how the work was outsourced to Hong Kong in late ’90s to early 2000s. Later, India gradually developed CGI technicians within the country to meet the growing demand for graphic content. Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s budget touched Rs 340 crore and the last 10 minutes cost around Rs 25 crore.
