Rajamouli Backs Off From An Idea With RRR

Star director Rajamouli never ceases to amaze us. Rajamouli’s concepts and canvas for a big-league film like RRR definitely make the filmmakers from other industries envy upon him. Though Rajamouli had bigger plans for RRR, he backed off on one of the ideas.

Rajamouli earlier planned to make RRR in 3D too. The director himself announced it in one of the press meets, but there is a change of plans. Rajamouli dropped the idea of releasing RRR in 3D. The team decided to quit the 3D version of RRR and the reason is the pandemic effect. While the team is already running behind the planned schedule due to unexpected delays, they gave up on the 3D version of RRR as they could not afford more time, money and effort.

The pandemic forced many changes in the film industry while many actors and technicians had to suffer from the virus infection itself. The shooting of RRR had to be halted during the lockdown and later Rajamouli too had to take a break after he tested positive for Covid-19.

The team is back to the shooting last month after seven months hiatus. Extreme precautions and avoiding large groups are not helping the movie shooting much, so the team decided to finish the shooting and meet the release deadline. The movie is planned for Sankranti release earlier, but it is now anticipated to be a summer release.
