Hero Suriya is presently busy with multiple projects. His 45th film directed by RJ Balaji is fast progressing with its shoot. Except for some patch work, the production is almost wrapped up. The post-production works are also underway for the movie planned for release in August.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of RJ Balaji’s birthday, the makers of the movie revealed its title. Karuppu is the title, and its named after a folk Deity who is also known as Karuppusamy (Black God). The title poster presents Suriya in a powerful manner with a sword in his hand, although his face is not visible. Behind him, we can see the folk deity.
Trisha Krishnan is the leading lady opposite Suriya in the movie. Suriya and Trisha are working together after 20 years of gap after their 2005 collaboration in Aaru. This movie brings Suriya back to work with the producers of NGK- SR Prabu and SR Prakash Babu from Dream Warrior Pictures.
Tipped to be an action adventure with a unique concept, Karuppu will also have RJ Balaji mark humour. While GK Vishnu cranks the camera, young composer Sai Abhyankar scores the soundtracks.
