Director Venky Atluri has clarified the sequel plans for his recent films Sir and Lucky Baskhar, putting an end to all speculation.
In a recent interview, Atluri confirmed that there won’t be a sequel to Sir (Vaathi in Tamil), starring Dhanush. He stated clearly, “No, there won’t be a sequel to Sir.” Despite the film’s success and open-ended climax, the director said the story was always designed as a complete, standalone narrative.
At the same time, Atluri revealed exciting news for Lucky Baskhar fans. He confirmed that a sequel to the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer will definitely happen. “Lucky Baskhar sequel will happen for sure,” Atluri said.
Lucky Baskhar, which released last year, explored the journey of an ordinary bank employee whose life takes an unexpected turn. The film received good reviews for its engaging narrative and strong performances, and has developed a loyal fan base since its release.
With Atluri officially ruling out Sir 2 but confirming Lucky Baskhar 2, fans now eagerly await more updates on the sequel and what direction the story will take.
