July 18th in Theatres & July 19th on OTT

Thrillers always have a separate fan base, and the recent Tamil release DNA has picked up appreciation from everyone. The thriller is now heading for a grand release in Telugu tomorrow. The Tamil version was released last month. Starring Atharvaa Murali and Nimisha Sajayan, the film is directed by Nelson Venkatesan. The film is set to be released on the Jio Hotstar platform a day after its theatrical release in Telugu.

Initially, the team wanted to release all language versions in theatres at the same time, but then, the Telugu release was postponed. The dubbing rights are brought by Suresh Kondeti, who titled the film as My Baby. Initially, the OTT release was supposed to happen on July 25th but the makers preponed it to July 19th.

The theatrical release of the Telugu version was also supposed to happen last week but has been postponed to tomorrow. It looks like there have been some issues between the producers because of which the film is releasing in both theatres as well as the OTT on consecutive days which will surely impact the theatrical revenue.

We have to see if there will be any change in the availability of the Telugu version on OTT platform. Having said that, there are positive reviews for DNA in Tamil and a recent screening of Telugu version also opened to positive reviews.
