Rajamouli Don’t Want Birthday Updates; Has Bigger Plans For Mahesh

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s birthday is just 10 days away, and as usual, his fans expect an update from his upcoming film SSMB 29, directed by SS Rajamouli. However, it has been clarified that there will not be any update from the team this time. It is heard that Rajamouli has no plans to reveal any updates anytime soon. 

As SSMB 29 is slated for release in 2027, it is heard that the makers may release a poster or a teaser if needed on Mahesh’s birthday in 2026. So far, the team has ensured that no single photo or update has been officially unveiled, as numerous international production houses and agencies are planning to partner with this movie. Rajamouli aims to collaborate with some of them to ensure a smooth Oscar campaign for the film. Thus, he is ensuring that he does not hold any press meetings or reveal any updates about the movie. 

Once all production partners are fixed, the team will officially start releasing updates about the movie. The team may also hold a grand event once every production collaborator is locked. Regarding the progress of the film, we hear that the Africa schedule and the schedule in the specially erected Varanasi set will take a considerable amount of time. Reportedly, Rajamouli also started music sittings with composer MM Keeravani. 

As there will be no update of SSMB 29, Mahesh’s fans decided to celebrate his birthday with the re-release of Athadu. This timeless classic is set for a grand re-release on August 9, on Mahesh’s birthday. It is expected to shatter all existing re-release records, considering its huge fan base.
