From Chiru to Prabhas: Stars Lining Up Back-to-Back Biggies

In the second half of 2025, we have a series of big films lined up for release. Apart from these big releases, there are also a few big films that will be launched in the next few weeks or months. Here is a look at such anticipated movies.

Chiranjeevi:

Chiranjeevi was last seen in the 2023 film Bholaa Shankar. Towards the end of this year, he will arrive with Vishwambhara. During Sankranthi 2026, he will grace big screens with his other film, directed by Anil Ravipudi.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is expected to start his new project with Bobby Kolli in September this year. That project is expected to hit the screens in 2026. After that, the much anticipated Chiru Odek will happen. On the whole, it looks like Chiranjeevi will come up with three to four films by the end of 2026.

Balakrishna:

Balakrishna scored a hit during this year’s Sankranthi with Daaku Maharaaj. His next film, Akhanda 2, is gearing up for release on September 25. As soon as he wraps this film, Balayya will start shooting for his next film under the direction of Gopichand Malineni. This movie will release in 2026.

Apart from that, we hear that Balayya is also in talks with Krish Jagarlamudi for another film, likely to be Aditya 999, the sequel to Aditya 369. If all goes as planned, Balayya might have three releases by the end of 2026.

Venkatesh:

Venkatesh scored a massive blockbuster earlier this year with Sankranthiki Vasthunam. He will soon start shooting for his next with Trivikram. He is also playing a guest role in Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi’s film. Venky will also work on Drushyam 3 by the end of this year or early next year.

Nagarjuna:

Nagarjuna was seen in Kuberaa this year. Soon, he will be seen in Rajinikanth’s Coolie too. Meanwhile, we hear that Nagarjuna will soon start shooting for his landmark 100th film under the direction of Tamil filmmaker Ra. Karthik. It is heard that this film will be launched in August.

Prabhas:

Among the big stars, only Prabhas is busy with multiple projects and is getting ready to start shooting for another film. He is currently busy with the shoot of The Raja Saab and Fauji. In September, he is expected to launch his much-anticipated film Spirit under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Apart from these movies, Nithiin is expected to launch his film Yellamma soon. The likes of Gopichand, Sudheer Babu, Naga Shaurya, and Sundeep Kishan are also getting ready to start their new movies in the coming days. On the whole, Tollywood is glowing with the launches of new films in the next few weeks.
