Nag’s Simon Inspired By Heath Ledger’s Joker!

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s new film Coolie is hitting the screens tomorrow. Starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the titular role, the film features Nagarjuna Akkineni in a negative role. Nag plays the character Simon in the film and he revealed that the character is hugely inspired by Heath Ledger’s Joker.

During the promotions, Shruthi Haasan and Nagarjuna who were a part of the interview discussed the film. During their conversation, they spoke about the love Lokesh had for Joker character. In several instances, Lokesh opened up about his love for DC and Joker.

“Lokesh Kanagaraj is a huge fan of Batman. Lokesh had Heath Ledger’s Joker in his mind, he probably saw that madness in the Simon role,” said Nagarjuna, adding, “I’m glad he didn’t put that smile.”

Reportedly, Simon’s character is said to be the crucial role in the script and Rajini is also surprised when he learned that Nagarjuna is playing the character. From the first look to how Nag was seen in the trailer, everything about Simon has come out well. Just after Kuberaa, Nag hopes for another revelation in his career and he bets high that his career graph will change from now.
