Forget Flops, Rukmini Has 3 Biggies Lined Up

Sandalwood young beauty Rukmini Vasanth’s second Tamil project, Sivakarthikeyan’s recently released action drama, Madharaasi, has failed to set the box office on fire. The film was released last week and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

After an average first weekend, Madharaasi couldn’t pass the Monday test, and trade analysts predict that the film may end up being a disappointing venture at the box office. Unfortunately, Rukmini has scored a forgettable hat trick of flops with Madharaasi.

Rukmini’s last two releases, Nikhi’s Appudo Ippudo Eppudo and Vijay Sethupathi’s Ace, were also declared flops at the box office. However, Rukmini has three of the most eagerly awaited pan-India biggies releasing in the next couple of years. The gorgeous actress will next be seen in Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, NTR-Neel’s Dragon, and Yash’s Toxic.

Most of the Telugu audiences thought that NTR-Neel’s Dragon would mark Rukmini’s Telugu debut. However, it’s Nikhil’s Appudo Ippudo Eppudo with which the talented beauty had forayed into Tollywood. Leaving the unsuccessful past, will Rukmini deliver blockbusters with her forthcoming projects and cement her position across the country? Well, we will know it starting with the Kantara prequel on October 2.
