Tamil Actor’s Telugu Speech Steals The Spotlight

Language has become such an indispensable factor for movie promotions these days that actors from other states are now putting all possible efforts to try and speak at least a few words in the local dialect so as to not trigger any controversies and face the wrath of audience.

This is all because of some recent incidents which sparked language row when actors from neighbouring states failed to communicate in the local language while promoting films outside their home state.

Especially, Kantara actor Rishab was at the receiving end after he spoke in Kannada during the pre-release event of his prequel in Hyderabad. He was trolled badly and faced sharp criticism. He quickly made amends in the next event as he tried to speak in Telugu and put an end to the controversy.

Now, Tamil actor Dhruv Vikram made sure that he will not land in a similar situation while promoting his latest release Bison. Ahead of the film’s release in Telugu states, Dhruv interacted with the media in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening. He surprised everyone by speaking fluently in Telugu, albeit with the help of paper in which he translated his speech beforehand. He started his speech by thanking the media and moviegoers.

Dhruv expressed his gratitude to Telugu audience for showering so much love on his father and actor Vikram all these years. He recollected a recent incident when he went out for shopping in Hyderabad and got greeted by fans outside. He also revealed the admiration of the shopkeeper on his father’s acting skills.

Dhruv said he felt very happy after knowing the impact created by his father across the states with his performances despite not having any background. He promised to work hard and try his best to earn the love of audience. He stated that he is looking forward to working in Telugu cinema.

This is the first time Dhruv is promoting his film in Hyderabad, but the efforts put in by him to woo Telugu audience despite having no market here has been receiving huge appreciation from all quaters because he at least tried to speak in Telugu unlike some actors from South states who hardly ever does it during  promotions even after exploiting the market here for many years. They should at least take a cue from this youngster and try to speak in Telugu during promotions.

Dhruv’s Bison released in Tamil on October 17th and received mixed reviews. The dubbed version is releasing in Telugu states on 24th of this month.
