Dhruv Vikram’s next release is Bison. The film was already released in Tamil and opened to a decent response. The film’s dubbed version is now gearing up for a release in Telugu this weekend. The team began the promotions and Dhruv is in Hyderabad to talk about the film.
Bison is one of those films that educates people about the caste system and the atrocities of it. The film tells the story of a Kabaddi player who went through a lot of struggles because of the caste. Tamil cinema predominantly makes movies on this issue from time to time and there is an opinion that the Tamil filmmakers intentionally does that and this opinion reflects on social media as well. However, when Dhruv was asked the same, he has a different opinion.
“I think, with regards to Maari Selvaraj sir, he makes cinema because of what he has been through in his own life. Every director has the right to create the art they want. I think it is important, especially in a social climate like this in India, particularly in the Southern parts of Tamil Nadu. It is important to address this and throw light on the things that still happen. Cinema is a medium to educate people on this,” said Dhruv Vikram.
Directors like Pa Ranjith and Vetrimaran also earlier made similar films. Whatever it may be, Dhruv seems to be confident that Bison becomes a hit in Telugu as well.
