Netflix Locks Office Space in Hyderabad’s HITEC City

Hyderabad continues to attract big global names from business and entertainment. Over the last decade, the city has grown into a key hub for cinema, technology and media, supported by strong infrastructure and skilled talent.

Now, Netflix has joined the list. The streaming giant has taken up a 41,000 sq. ft. office space at CapitaLand ITPH Block A in HITEC City, the same building that also houses Warner Bros.

This marks Netflix’s second office in India after Mumbai and its first major base in Hyderabad. The move signals the company’s growing interest in the South Indian market, especially with the city’s steady rise as a center for film and digital production.

Sources say the new office will focus on regional content creation, post-production and technical operations. Netflix has already been working closely with top South Indian filmmakers, particularly from the Telugu industry, after the global success of RRR and Baahubali. The Hyderabad base is expected to strengthen these collaborations and boost local employment in the creative sector.

Hyderabad is already home to several film studios, VFX companies, and post-production facilities. With initiatives like IMAGE Towers, the government has been actively promoting the city as a hub for animation and digital content.

In recent months, several global firms including Eli Lilly, Vanguard, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Heineken and American Airlines have expanded their footprint here. Netflix’s entry further cements Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s most dynamic centers for both business and entertainment.
