Big Breaking: Jogi Ramesh Arrested!

Former Minister of Housing in Andhra Pradesh and YSR Congress party leader Jogi Ramesh has been arrested just a while ago at his residence in Ibrahimpatnam of NTR district. 

Ramesh has been facing serious allegations over his links with the sensational illicit liquor racket that was busted by AP police last month. The prime accused in this scandal Addepalli Janardhan Rao openly deposed that the entire scandal was operated at the behest of Ramesh. 

Today morning, the Special Investigation Team, which has been investigating the case, raided the house of the senior YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh to seize any incriminating evidences in connection with the case. After searching his house for nearly two hours, Ramesh and personal assistant Arepalli Ramu have been taken into custody. They will be produced before the magistrate very soon for further course of action. 

As per media reports, SIT found that A1 Janardhan Rao met Jogi Ramesh at the latter’s residence before his trip to South Africa and CCTV recordings pertaining to this confidential meeting have been seized by the team during the search operation. Moreover, there are firm evidences that the spurious liquor racket was being operated from 2023 when Ramesh was Minister and YSR Congress party was in power. 

A massive liquor dump was discovered in Mulakalacheruvu and Ibrahimpatnam last month and this has sent shock waves across the state. Several people have already been arrested in this case. A1 Janardhan Rao divulged some screenshots and other proofs relating to his conversation with Ramesh.

This led to more speculations that Ramesh is involved in the entire scandal. However, he denied these allegations and even challenged the government that he is willing to undergo lie detector test to deny his involvement. 

It appears like SIT has clinching proofs to hold Ramesh as one of the key perpetrators in this high-profile scandal.
