Will Girlfriend’s Confidence Reflect at the Box Office?

National Crush Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film ‘The Girlfriend’ garnered more buzz among these month’s releases after the intense trailer packed a strong punch. The film, which delves into the emotional turbulence faced by a girl who is trapped in a toxic relationship with her boyfriend, is set for a good opening on November 7th because of Rashmika’s craze and also due to the promising promotional campaign by the makers.

As there is no pre-release event, the team interacted with the media in Hyderabad earlier today to amp up the hype on the film ahead of its release. Star producer Allu Aravind, who is presenting the film, attended the press meet along with the director and other producers. Rashmika did not turn up for the event due to her shooting. However, she released a video byte to share her experience about this project. 

Rashmika sought support from audience and requested everyone to encourage films like The Girlfriend because stories like this are very rare and also gives confidence to make many such films in future. She praised director Rahul Ravindran for bringing a sensible subject with a beautiful narration. She expressed confidence that people will root for the film. 

Rahul Ravindran said it was very challenging for him initially to design Rashmika’s role in this film after her bold performance in Animal. He stated that audience will forget Rashmika and remember only Bhooma character ten minutes into the film. He thanked all his technicians and producers the ample support throughout the journey. 

Lead actor Dheekshit Shetty said working on this film gave him a lot of hope and confidence on his career in film industry. He expressed his gratitude towards Allu Aravind for giving advance immediately after the first schedule. Talking about his experience on working with Rashmika, Deekshith said he felt very comfortable while on sets because of her support throughout the journey. 

Allu Aravind expressed full confidence that The Girlfriend will garner huge critical acclaim and asserted that reviewers will rate the film so high due to its strong emotional content. He said The Girlfriend gave him a lot of satisfaction as a producer even though he made many big films and earned crores. He praised Rashmika to the sky for giving her career best performance. 

Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni revealed about his emotional meeting with Rahul Ravindran when he gave narration despite Chinmayi’s health issues due to pregnancy. He confidently stated that The Girlfriend will strike a chord with all sections of audience.
