Star heroine Anushka Shetty celebrates her 44th birthday today. On this special occasion, the makers of her upcoming Malayalam film, Kathanar, released her first look poster from the movie.
Meanwhile, netizens are curious whether Anushka will finally appear in her true, no-filter look in this film, as her recent movies like Ghaati featured heavy VFX and noticeable body-slimming effects.
Especially, there was a big debate on social media around Anushka’s look from Ghaati, as audiences felt that body-slimming technology was used to make her look slimmer in the movie. Telugu audiences couldn’t digest such a filtered look.
Meanwhile, Malayalam films are known for realistic portrayals of actors. So, it remains to be seen if we get a chance to see the real-life look of Anushka in Kathanar.
Touted to be a period fantasy thriller, Kathanar features Jayasuriya as the lead hero. Prabhu Deva and Sandy Master (Lokah and Kishkindhapuri fame) play other key roles in it. The film is slated for a 2026 release.
