He defended his son’s actions and questioned why people would come to theatres and watch films if the ticket rates are hiked. he also lashed out at producer C. Kalyan, who urged the police department to encounter people like Ravi.

“He (C. Kalyan) would know the pain if he was encountered. If the film’s content is good enough, people will definitely watch it in theatres. I used to watch films by spending 45 paisa. Now, the ticket rates have been hiked enormously. Who asked the producers to spend crores on movies? Why can’t they provide tickets at affordable rates? I would financially support the lawyers who are arguing in my son’s defence,” said Apparao. This sudden flip of statements from Apparao has become a hot topic on social media.
