Champion Trailer Brings Nizam Era Story to Life

The theatrical trailer of Champion, starring Roshan and Anaswara Rajan, was unveiled a short while ago at a grand pre-release event being held today. Mega Power Star Ram Charan graced the occasion as the chief guest and officially launched the trailer, adding star power to the memorable event.

Set against the backdrop of the Nizam era, shortly after India gained Independence, the story unfolds around the rebellion of a village named Bairanpally- one of the first to rise in defiance against Nizam rule.

Amidst this turbulent period, a young football aspirant with lofty dreams finds a greater calling in fighting for his land. Torn between personal ambition and the fight for justice, he embodies the true spirit of a champion.

Director Pradeep Advaitham chooses a period setting and presents it with striking authenticity, paying meticulous attention to the milieu, costumes, and overall atmosphere of the 1948 Nizam region. He skillfully blends sports, struggle, and rebellion into a compelling narrative, while also weaving in a heartfelt love story amid the chaos.

Roshan delivers a standout performance, fully owning the role of a sportsman-turned-rebel. From his physical transformation to his nuanced portrayal, the young actor showcases remarkable caliber.

Playing such a demanding role was no easy task, especially mastering the Telangana dialect, but Roshan rises to the challenge with confidence.
