Producer Clears the Air on Devara 2

For NTR fans, Devara 2 has slowly turned into a big question mark. For a long time, there has been uncertainty over whether the sequel would actually happen or be quietly shelved. Now, producer Sudhakar Mikkilineni has finally brought some clarity.

Speaking at a recent event, he confirmed that Devara 2 is planned to go on floors from May 2026, with a release aimed for 2027. With this statement, many rumours about the project being stalled have been put to rest, at least for now.

However, what has caught attention is the silence from director Koratala Siva. So far, there has been no official reaction from him, which continues to keep fans guessing. Adding to this uncertainty is NTR’s tightly packed schedule. His previous release War 2 failed to meet expectations at the box office, making him more careful about his upcoming commitments.

At present, NTR is fully focused on his film with Prashanth Neel, which is expected to release around June. On the other side, he also has God of War with Trivikram lined up after the NTR Neel project.

With two massive films in the pipeline, fans are confused about how Tarak plans to manage both projects at the same time and where Devara 2 fits into this busy schedule.

Sources suggest that NTR wants to finish and evaluate the Prashanth Neel film before locking any further projects. Only after that is he expected to take a final call on Devara 2.

There have also been reports that Koratala Siva is reshaping the sequel’s script by correcting the issues from the first part. In the past, rumours claimed that NTR stepped back more than once due to lack of confidence in the script.

Now that the producer has announced a clear timeline, fans are hoping that Koratala will soon convince NTR and take the project forward.

Since Devara created strong expectations with its first part, the sequel will need much stronger content to live up to the hype. With this latest update, Devara 2 has once again come into the spotlight. All eyes are now on Koratala Siva’s next move and on when NTR will finally give his green signal.
