Our readers are aware that Prabhas and Prasanth Varma were supposed to join hands for a mythological film. Prabhas was expected to play Bakasura in the movie, which was tentatively titled Baka.
Mythri Movie Makers was set to bankroll the project. A test shoot with Prabhas reportedly took place a few months ago. However, it is now being rumored that the film may not be happening.
Apparently, Prabhas did not feel comfortable after the shoot and is said to have declined the project.
If this news turns out to be true, this would be the third film of Prasanth Varma after Hanu-Man to get shelved just before the shoot. Earlier, similar situations reportedly occurred with Ranveer Singh’s Brahma Rakshasa and Nandamuri Mokshagna’s debut film.
Prasanth Varma’s last directorial, Hanu-Man, was released on 12 January 2024. His next directorial is being launched after a gap of two years and one month.
