It is heartbreaking to see that criminals have no fear of the law, as two horrific incidents against children have shocked Andhra Pradesh within just a few days. First, a tragic event occurred in Madanapalle, and now a similar attempt has come to light in Visakhapatnam.
In Visakhapatnam’s Pedagantyada area, a man named Yogi reportedly tried to assault a three-year-old girl on Thursday. He lured the child away to a lonely spot by promising to buy her biscuits and snacks. Luckily, the mother grew suspicious when she heard the little girl crying and confronted the man. The parents immediately informed the Newport Police, who arrested the suspect and filed a case under the POCSO Act. The child has been sent for medical tests, and the police are currently investigating.
This news comes right after a gruesome tragedy in Madanapalle. A young girl who went missing on Monday was found dead inside a water drum in a neighbor’s house. It was discovered that a man named Kulavardhan raped and murdered her before committing suicide by jumping into a pond.
These back-to-back atrocities have sparked massive anger across the state. Local residents are demanding the strictest possible punishment for such criminals to ensure the safety of innocent children.
