It now appears that Prakash Raj is out of Spirit, the film starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Vanga. Recently, the makers released the first look of Vivek Oberoi from the film, and Prakash Raj’s username was not tagged in the X posts.
In fact, his tag had disappeared from the posts as early as December. It was present in the muhurtham photos shared in November. Since then, there have been at least half a dozen updates, but Prakash Raj was not tagged in any of them. There is no way this could be a mistake that went unnoticed and uncorrected for so long.
Earlier, Prakash Raj had denied reports of a scuffle between him and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the shooting location. He clarified that he had not even participated in the shoot.
At that time, many assumed he was denying his exit from the project. However, he was only denying the reports about a clash on the sets. Now, if the rumours circulating in Filmnagar are to be believed, the reason for his exit is different.
Reportedly, Sandeep Vanga had asked Prakash Raj to avoid controversial comments and interviews until the release of Spirit, as his strong political views might affect the film. However, Prakash Raj is said to have refused to give any such assurance. He reportedly responded that his personal opinions have nothing to do with his professional life. Some unverified sources even claim that he accused Vanga of being biased during the discussion. Eventually, the two are said to have parted ways.
We tried to verify this version with the production team, but they remain unavailable or unwilling to comment.
