If the latest murmurs in Tollywood circles are to be believed, the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming cop drama Ustaad Bhagat Singh have reportedly decided to rope in SS Thaman to render the background score for the film in the place of Devi Sri Prasad.
Though it is unclear whether the team has decided to bring Thaman on board to complete the post production activities within the stipulated time or because of some other reasons, sources say that is a strong possibility for this musical twist to happen as the release date is fast approaching.
Previously, Pushpa 2 team brought in happening composer Sam CS to work on the BGM as DSP couldn’t complete the re-recording work on time and to avoid postponement of the film. DSP was disappointed with this development and he openly expressed his displeasure on the producers during the pre-release event and his remarks created quite a controversy at that time.
Coincidentally, Mythri Movie Makers is the production house for Ustaad Bhagat Singh as well. So, how DSP reacts this time if Thaman replaces him for scoring only the background music in the last minute will be interesting to watch out for. DSP delivered a memorable album and scintillating BGM for Gabbar Singh and his music played a significant role in the blockbuster success.
Now, there are massive expectations on this album as well. While the first single emerged as a chartbuster, the second song received a mixed response. Many are expecting him to come up with a terrific background score that suits Pawan Kalyan’s on-screen mannerisms and Harish Shankar’s writing.
The question now is whether DSP coordinates with Thaman in case if this last minute change turns out to be is true. Also, it remains to be seen if Thaman can takeover and complete the entire work in the next few days.
Moreover, fresh buzz suggests that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is likely to be preponed by a week to March 19 as Yash’s pan-India action spectacle Toxic has just been postponed to June 4 and there are no other regional biggies slated for release on the same day.
So, if this news turns out to be true, the team will need to race against time and complete all formalities in the next ten days to get the first copy ready in quick time.
