Vijay’s First Political Meeting After Divorce Talk: How Did It Go?

Thalapathy Vijay is one of the biggest names in South Indian cinema, and he is now on a crucial passage of his career as he ventures into Tamil Nadu politics ahead of the upcoming Assembly election. 

Meanwhile, Vijay faced an extremely turbulent situation recently as his wife Sangeeta filed for divorce, alleging him of marital affair. But nevertheless, Vijay is still determined to have a strong presence in Tamil Nadu politics as he made his first public appearance today amidst the divorce talk. 

Vijay was able to pull massive crowds to his public meeting in Thanjavur today and the kind of response that he could get from the youth and the wider sections of the public is substantial enough. 

It is a good thing for TVK that Vijay is still able to bring masses to his meetings despite the detrimental set of recent developments. 

Also, Vijay gave a brief look at the election manifesto of his party as he made a series of interesting announcements.

Vijay promised free education to the youngsters coming from farming family with less than 2 acres of land. Farmers in the Delta region recently faced a shortage of fertilizers and there were reports that some people hoarded fertilizers and sold them at high prices. When our TVK comes to power, we will ensure there are no such shortages, he said. 

For farmers with up to 5 acres of land, we will completely waive off the crop loans taken from agricultural cooperative banks. For farmers with more than 5 acres, we will explore the possibilities and take firm action to waive up to 50% of their crop loans, Vijay stated.
