Dhurandhar 2: Is It Getting Too Late?

The high-stakes box office fight that is supposed to take place on March 19 is finally averted in the last minute with the postponement of Yash’s Toxic to June 4 due to the ongoing geopolitical crisis in the wake of conflict between Iran and Israel. 

The announcement came as a big surprise to trade circles. And, Dhurandhar 2 is set to benefit with this unexpected development because it will have a solo outing with wide release in all territories. However, media circles are now abuzz with another shocking speculations. 

As soon as Toxic was postponed, reports started emerging that even Dhurandhar 2 might also get deferred indefinitely. Though there is no official word so far, the sudden silence adopted by Dhurandhar team is one of the reasons why these rumours started gaining momentum since yesterday. 

The release date is just two weeks away. But, the trailer has not yet been launched. There is no formal update from the makers about the trailer release date. Earlier, there were reports that it was unveiled on March 3. But, there is no clarity from the team so far. 

The first part of this Ranveer Singh starrer was banned in gulf countries due to anti-Pakistan theme. The sequel might also not release in these territories.

If the team is serious about releasing the film on March 19, the trailer should drop in a day or two before it is getting too late. Also, if they are contemplating a delayed release, the new date should be announced immediately because many other biggies are lined up in the coming months. 

All this confusion will end only if the makers of Dhurandhar 2 come out of silence and announce something immediately so that trade circles will have get complete clarity. Sources say that an official announcement about postponement is expected today or tomorrow. 

Meanwhile, regional biggies like Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh are planning to prepone the release date to March 19.
